Giving the Perfect Bachelorette
Party
If you're throwing a Bachelorette
Party for the first time, it can be a bit overwhelming just deciding where to start. We've tried to compile the ultimate list
of cool ideas, games and Bachelorette Gifts, so that you can throw the best party ever!
Pick a Date for the Party
For your bachelorette party
to be successful, you have to have as many of the bride-to-be's friends there as possible. For this reason, you want to secretly
ask around and plan on a night that is good for everybody. If most of the guests are flying in for the wedding, it is best
to plan to have the party on a night when most people will be there and rested. Remember, the rehearsal Dinner is the night
before the wedding, so you don't want to conflict with that. If her future husband is having a bachelor party, that can be
a good night, since it will help to keep her mind off his shenanigans!
How Do I Pay for this Thing?
Don't be overwhelmed by
the potential cost of a bachelorette party. It is very common for several people to host and pay for such an important event.
Even if you're the only on planning the party, be sure to ask friends and family for donations. You're going to be putting
all the time and effort into planning and throwing the bachelorette party. You shouldn't have to foot the entire bill as well!
If you are on a tight budget, there are many fun things you can do that don't cost a fortune.
Announcing the Party
Be sure to send invitations out as far in advance as possible, so that the guests have time to plan. You don't want people
missing the party because of prior engagements. Depending upon the overall "feel" you want your party to have, you can make
your own invitations on your computer, or the old fashioned way with paper and scissors. These days, invitations are
so inexpensive, it might not be worth your time to bother making them on your own.
When planning the bachelorette party and buying or making the invitations,
choose a design with a theme in mind. Maybe the bride's favorite color, or the movie star she's always secretly desired. The
theme you choose will definitely set the mood for the party. Sexy invitations will encourage people to be a bit more
naughty. They may bring risque lingerie or gifts. A more sedate card sends the message that the party will be
more grown up and polite. No male strippers please!
Where to Have the Bachelorette Party
Here are several options:
- Go to a nearby bar - This is a very common type of party these days. "Let's get her drunk and have her do crazy
things!" Some brides love this type of party. What's nice about it is that you don't have to clean up after the party. Going
to a bar is not as intimate as having the party in your home, so this type of bachelorette party is best for the party girl
type who feels right at home out on the town.
- Go to a Strip Club - This can be a wonderfully fun party, but it's not for everyone. Be sure your bachelorette will
actually ENJOY grinding naked men in her face. If this is the case, make sure you call ahead of time and check to see if there
could be ESPECIALLY embarrassing grinding naked dancing with the bachelorette getting most of the attention. There are a few
things to consider before going to a strip club:
- Be sure to take lots of dollar bills to stuff
in g-strings
- Give the bachelorette a "password" she can
use if she gets too embarrased or uncomfortable. This should be a fun event. You don't want her to be miserable at her own
Bachelorette Party.
- Have Dinner at a Fun or Fancy Restaurant - Try to find a place that's particularly nice, or that has a fun atmosphere
or a party room that you can decorate. Once again, it's nice not to have to clean up after the party.
- Have a Party at Someone's House - This is probably the most common type of party to give. Having the bachelorette
party at home is more intimate, and it also alows for more freedom. Where else can you have massive dildos lying around,
or male strippers showing up at all hours?
Whatever type of party
you choose, just make it fun! Try and think about the bachelorette. What would she most enjoy? Is she the wild type, or somewhat
more reserved? Whatever the case is, if you plan it well, everyone should have a wonderful time.
What Do We Do at a Bachelorette Party?
Once again, this will depend
upon the type of party you want to have. There are fun games you can purchase to play at the party. There are also
other games you can play that require a bit of preparation, but can be more personalized for the individual bachelorette.
Obviously, everyone will enjoy eating party foods and drinking festive
beverages. Here again, planning is the key. If the bachelorette is a vegetarian, it's probably best to stay away from chicken
fingers. If she doesn't drink, you will want to find some cool alternatives, like virgin daiquiris or fruit drinks with Pecker
Pop Tops. If the bachelorette doesn't drink, it's advisable for other party goers to refrain as well. Most sober people
have little use for goofy drunk people. Unless, of course, they're willing to be REALLY goofy and embarrass themselves in
public; Now THAT'S a party!
Gifts for Party Goers
One of the coolest things
to do when planning a bachelorette party is picking out the party favors. There are so many hilarious novelties and decorations
to choose from. Be sure to get the Bachelorette Party Bags and then fill them with Dicklicks Chewing Gum, a
Dicky Lipstick or other fun novelty gifts. Get a Blow Up Penis or two and a Mr. Stud Party Doll
to add atmosphere to the party. Have everyone wear Pecker Party Necklaces and Bracelets and sip their Margaritas
from Dicky Sipper Bottles. Decorations are also key. Be sure to checkout all the party decorations that are
available. Depending on the type of party you're going to have, you might want to be raunchy, or you might want to just get
some flowers and balloons to make your home more festive
